Owner & Pet Stylist
Tanya has been a Pet Stylist for 17 years and took Animal Care at St.Lawrence college. Grooming is Tanya’s passion! She loves keeping up with the latest styles by attending seminars and shows throughout the year,learning from some of the TOP stylists in the industry whom have been grooming upwards of 30 years. Tanya is also a competitive groomer, competing in Grooming contests and shows 1 to 3 times per year. She has won a few awards. Which she will happily tell you about if you ask her…
In her previous years, Tanya has enjoyed volunteering and working in many different Animal fields including the Toronto Zoo health unit where she was able to hand and bottle feed animals such as Reindeer (Mistletoe and Tinsle) and A Lion Cub (Simba), also caring for a hornbill (Asha), and a Tamandua (Simon), and many others.
Tanya also enjoys travelling the world when she is not pursuing her passion (Grooming), Tanya crossed off a destination from her bucket list when she went to Tanzania, Africa to Climb Mount Killimanjaro (Killi) where she made it to the peak, and to go on Safari.
Tanya also enjoys being active and walking her own dogs Sandy an 8 year old pug and Stuey a 13-month-old toy poodle and her BFF and Boyfriend Anthony!
Meet the Rest of the Pooches N’ Pals team:
Mel has been grooming for 7 years and also enjoys attending seminars and keeping up with the latest styles, one of her favorites is The New Asian Style grooming, making them look oh so cute. She also has a love for Scotties and Frenchies.
Mom has been with Pooches N’ Pals for 3 years now and is our Receptionist/Head of Boarding. When you call in, Usually it’s Mom you will speak with to get the appointment needed for your Best pal.
Has been with Pooches N’ Pals for a year and is our assistant bather. She is an animal lover herself and has 2 dogs Teddy the Pomeranian and Kubus the Bichon frise. She will treat your pet like her own and give it a relaxing and rejuvenating spaw bath.
Started off as a co-op student, Deserae said she wanted to become a groomer. She was quick to learn and pick up a lot of skills. She has only been with us for about 8 months but is learning to be our Junior groomer. Deserae also has a new best pal, her Husky Chief.
